The Core of IBDiploma candidates write a 4,000-word Extended Essay (EE) in one of the subject areas. The EE combines the elements of research, creative thinking, and independent analysis.
The Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course encourages critical thinking of the many, humanly constructed claims from self, others, math, science, history, arts and ethics. It explores how we know what we know and the reliability and validity of all information. Diploma candidates document a variety of creativity, activity, and service (CAS) experiences that fulfill specific learning outcomes. This component of the diploma seeks to enhance student’s personal and interpersonal development. |
